By train and bus
There is one main train station in Trento, which is also very close to the city centre. You then have two options.
From the main Trento train station, there are hourly train rides that stop at the Povo/Mesiano train station. From there, just follow the directions for “Polo Ferrari”, it’s a short 10-minutes walk uphill.
From Piazza Dante, the square right in front of the main train station, there is a bus hub which can carry you all the way to the University. Pick either the bus:
- “5”: Get off at Povo, Facoltà delle Scienze.
- “5/”: Get off at Povo Polo Scientifico Est
- “13”: Get off at Povo Centro Civico
By plane
There are no closeby international airports in Trento. The best options are either:
- The Venice International “Marco Polo” Airport (VCE)
- The Bergamo Orio al Serio International “Caravaggio” Airport (BGY)
- The Milano-Malpensa International Airport (MPX)
From each airport, your best option is to book a bus or a train to get up to Trento, or just rent a car.
