The HiCrest research group at the University of Trento has been honored with the prestigious Best Performing Team Award by the Open Edge and HPC Initiative (OEHI). The annual awards, which recognize outstanding contributions to the AI data centre industry ecosystem, were officially presented during this year’s ISC High Performance conference in Hamburg, Germany.
The award was granted to the DCN Phase 2 Project Team—a successful multi-party collaboration comprising the University of Trento (HiCrest), Sapienza Università di Roma, CINECA, and Huawei. The team was recognized for its exceptional alignment with OEHI’s strategic goals and its outstanding task performance. According to the official award citation,
the project delivered impressive results that were accepted into ISC’s highly competitive technical program, making a profound contribution to the DCN ecosystem and setting a new benchmark for collaborative innovation within the initiative.
This recognition highlights the dedication of the HiCrest group to pushing the boundaries of AI data centre infrastructures and HPC technologies through impactful international and industrial cooperation.
